So Tuesday night (cheap night!) I went with a good friend to see the movie Crazy,Stupid, Love. First off, let me say that Ryan Gosling was crazy, stupid, hot in this movie. In the film, he tells the character played by Steve Carell that only 16 items are required to build a men's wardrobe. In search of this invaluable list, I stumbled upon this article entitled Your Personal Appearance: The Importance of Being a Sharp Dressed Man at the artofmanliness.com. I love this idea, I love this blog! It's just so....manly! (If I find the female equivalent I will be a sworn believer.) Anyways, this article does a great job of explaining what my brother calls 'The Gosling Effect'; essentially, you are what you wear.
Also, check out this article from the A Tailored Suit, part of an ebook that the blog's author has compiled entitled The Importance of Proper Fit in Menswear. This what Jacob Palmer (Gosling) preached, and if he said it, I believe it. You can always trust a well dressed man.
